Nearly 1 million new items on Europeana Nearly 1 million new digital objects were added to Europeana.eu (http://europeana.eu/) on Tuesday, bringing the total number of items on the portal to 6.9 million. The new content includes nearly 850,000 texts and images from HISPANA*, part of the Europeana Local project http://www.europeanalocal.eu/eng. Users can also now explore thousands of watermarks** from the Bernstein project***, which is documenting the history of paper in Europe.
