I have been over this pretty carefully. A few comments in the attached file
and patch 0001. I can resend the patch without comments if you like.
SVN 13967 + this patch passes all my unit tests, so it should have behaviour
very close to 1.3.19 with the exception of the DP (Date of Publication) ->
Year + Month fix that you have implemented.
One more point about that fix, I think that either (or both):
1) the DP field should be kept AND/OR
2) the Month field should include the day when available ie
DP - 2007 Mar 23 -> Month = {Mar 23}, Year = {2007}
I have attached a patch which does option 2. I am pretty confident in its
behaviour because it passes a fairly comprehensive set of unit tests. I
would love to add these unit tests (+ tests for some for other BibDesk core
components that I have written or translated from UnitKit format) to BibDesk
svn!
