Safari probably does not immediately save the bookmarks to disk.

Download Linked File As....
The file shows up in my Safari downloads window, but not in the
Safari Recent Downloads list in BibDesk. The most recent download
is one that I downloaded about 18 hours ago.
Restarting BibDesk doesn't help.
