I don't understand. Tool tips where?

I also don't understand anything like this can happen as tool tips  
are displayed by Apple.

Changed that to select the first field. Tabbing between the fields  
and the others is not possible AFAICS.

Just do it once and it will stick.

I'm not sure if the AddressBook framework allows this kind of  
interaction.

Anyway, this editor is old stuff without any changes.

Couldn't work, because the preview display typically needs to be  
wide, while the icon display does not need a wide space. Note that  
you can easily toggle those displays using a double click on the  
divider (this is a consistent feature throughout BibDesk).
