Sorry, I guess there is a misunderstanding
My request for private instructions was to avoid to bother all of the
experts with something that might be considered simple ore not so
important.
I am not seeking private attention for what you have maybe
misunderstood in consideration of my poor written english.

Hell, make a screencast that shows the steps not working, put a little
effort in and you'll get a lot back.

Be aware that Database Find & Replace works on the literal
expression in the field. So I guess this particular name is not
included exactly in this form, perhaps as "F. White" instead. The
best way to fix a name is probably to look it up in any item,
double-click the name in the little name table in the detail
window. You then get a window for that author, where you can
change the name for all publications that contain it. You can
also choose Author as the grouping field, and edit the name in
