Sorry to be ambiguous. The PDF preview process ends with this message in the
floating window: ***** ERROR:  unable to create preview ***** There is no
RTF preview, I imagine for the reason you stated.

It's strange: The cite key is now properly included in the bibpreview.tex,
and ought (I think) to generate a valid pdf, but the log doesn't seem to
indicate any problem...
