That was my first thought as well. However, one has to remember that  
the underlying bibtex structure is also in English and I can remember  
well that when I first switched to latex/bibtex it was the field names  
and other bibtex stuff I struffled with the most and not Bibdesk.  
While I personally think that a German localization won't harm, I also  
think that it is not urgently needed. I will probably keep Bibdesk in  
English anyway just to avoid translation problems when dealing with  
this mailing list.
