This is probably a silly question, but my research group has a joint bibtex
database on a fileserver that we us. While most times it is not a problem, it
would be nice if there was some way to have database locking (the whole file)
and only allow one person to write to it at a time (something like how fink
works). Has something like this been considered? Could something like this be
built using an AppleScript (all of the users on are Macs)?
