Hi all, I am fairly new to BibDesk and Applescript. I've been working on some Applescripts to automatically add BibDesk entries from the Table of Contents emails sent out weekly for the American Geophysical Union journals. Since the emails don't include the abstracts, I grab them using NetNewsWire. Then, I can go through the list in BibDesk, delete what I'm not interested in, and see if there are any papers I need to read soon-ish.
Ultimately, I'd like to automatically add entries for all of the journals I track. The American Meteorological Society journals are next, but their emails changed recently. I'm sure there is a much better way to do all this, and someone probably already has an elegant solution. Please feel free to offer suggestions for improvement, though my work on these scripts is very sporadic, given that my real job is to write papers that appear in these journals, not play around with applescript. Anyway, the two scripts are here: <http://people.oregonstate.edu/~shellk/cdefg/tools.html >. Let me know if you find them useful.
