I used to be able to drag a pdf file into Bibdesk that was named with the PMID and it would automatically create the citation. This has not been working for me for some time. Certain files I am able to drag over, (no matter what they are named) and Bibdesk adds the correct citation (I guess it is pulling the PMID or DOI info from the pdf itself.)
Is there an additional plugin required for Bibdesk to look for the PMID in the filename? This was the most reliable way of adding new citations from PDF, especially when the PDF is a scanned document.
