That's not changing the way you enter the name, these are totally different 
names representing different persons (I said "as long as it is consistent with 
the bibtex convention"):

This is a person called "Surname I.", i.e. first name "Surname" and last name 
"I." (is he a criminal or a suspect?)...

Apart from that, you probably have the descriptions after "shows" mixed up, 
because you won't get that from bibtex nor displayed anywhere in BibDesk.
