Why did they release Papers 2 when a key feature is missing, the ability to set 
up a kind of authority control, what they call "merging" records? It was going 
to take that long to get that into Papers 2 that they had to go ahead?

Searching remote databases seems to be a feature appreciated by Papers users. I 
wonder if that's primarily where they conduct more of their research, or if 
they go to Pubmed etc. to do their searches. Pubmed's interface is much richer.

PDF management also seems to be a priority of Papers users.

Someone in the comments said that PDF annotation is a requirement for a good 
PDF management app.
