Not really. It does have a toggle that checks whether the item has been edited. 
However, when you type the initial value "cite-key" /immediately/, i.e. 
/before/ you have committed any change, then no edit will ever be registered, 
and the toggle won't be set. So you /won't/ get the Discard button when you 
change the cite key, commit, and then reset it to the initial value (either by 
explicitly editing it back or using a single undo).
