I've not spent much time on TM 2, since it's an alpha release and pretty rough 
around the edges.  I'll take a look at this and see what I can discover, 
though.  Did you add the tmcommand to TM 2?

Update: after downloading TM 2 and letting it install the LaTeX bundle (and 
Java, for some reason) twice, I then dropped the "BibDesk DO 
Completion.tmCommand" file on its dock icon.  Opening up a test file crashed 
the window server (ugh!), but after logging back in and telling TM 2 to use 
LaTeX for .tex files, completion is working fine in TM 2.  That's pretty 
impressive backwards compatibility, considering I wrote that completion code in 
December 2006!
