I recommend removing it. The original reason for it was to provide a properly formatted reference that you could copy, back when when Apple didn't allow copying text from PDF (OS X 10.2/10.3). It's a pretty ancient latex2rtf if I was the last one to update it... Does anyone still use this feature?
