Is it still accessible via Edit->Copy As and context menu, too? Chances are pretty good that Justin hit an encoding problem; if so, it's likely fixed in the latest latex2rtf sources. I have an Xcode project for the latest latex2rtf at home, if there's interest in updating it. Some files have been added and removed in the 4 years since I last imported it to BibDesk :). As an aside, if you use latex2rtf, you need to use the code that's in subversion! It's under pretty steady development, but releases are few and far between.
