Well, my bad, again, sorry.
Local file is there, as a paper clip, and I didn’t know the clip mean a file.
The Local File column lets me know if the record has a pdf, but not an
associated .skim file. For now, I'll try to do this manually. I'll use the
"Rating" to indicate I’ve read an article; and I'll use the "Read" checkbox to
indicate I've created a skim notes file.

Sorry, that should be "Local File". It should be in the list of the combo box
when you add a new column.

Ok, well I downloaded the most recent nightly and I haven't found a "Local
Files" column. The closest I found was "Local url" and I don't think that is
what you mean. Where have I gone wrong and where can I get the right
information?

No, the Note column is for the Note field. I was talking about a Local Files
column for linked files (or a local file field column in the recent nightlies).
