Ok Thanks.
Theoretically, I could do this with an rsync command right?

Slight correction to previous example.
The colors eventually showed up, but the columns are definitely not the same.

Greetings,

I access my bib file with different machines. Which files do I have to sync so
that BibDesk is the same at work and home? For example, the columns are
different and no colors show up on my work machine.

Cheers,
Jason

It depends a bit on how you sync your files. BibDesk saves many window
settings, such as the columns, in the extended attributes of a file. So if your
sync method copied extended attributes, these settings should also be kept. If
not, the settings come from the app preferences, which remember the last set
changes to these settings. If you want to copy the BibDesk preferences between
systems, you need to use the “defaults” command line tool, in particular the
“export” and “import” commands.
