Brooks warns against over-tensioning so be careful.  If it ain't broke,
don't fix it.

I have 2 Brooks B17's with over 10,000  miles each and I've not had to
retension either yet. I've lost track of my total number of Brooks saddles.
7 or 8 I'd guess. I have them on almost all my bikes, with a couple spares
on the shelf. 3-4 years ago, Nashbar cleared them out for $25 each! I bought
3 at that time, should have bought more.

Then unless you've ridden it after getting it soaked in the rain,
there's no way you'dneed to retension it.  Note what it is like now, and
if after several thousand miles it changes (if it's sagged, or become
extremely easy to depress with your thumb) you might try retensioning.

You could go years and not have to retension it.
