Hi! Everybody.

Changing politics is no solution because it itself requires a great deal of
politics. In my opinion the real need is to change our mentality that we are
under developed. We the people of Bihar is having an natural tendency to
move away for search of livelihood, but this urge take them only to the
places that are more developed, more populated and more job oriented
compared to the interior places of Bihar from where we have come. You can
find several bihari people who claim to have seen many places in india
havenot seen the cities of Bihar except those they cross through the
railway.

This does not mean that bihar doesnot need change. There are areas where we
are deficient and need to change.
First we biharis have the the feeling that 'they will clean' and we have all
right to make places dirty. Spitting here and there and everywhere is the
worst cause of our underdevelopment. I had to visit one prestigious private
nursinghome in Muzaffarpur last year and the scene there will let any body
think that this is worst than any government hospital elsewhere. But what I
studied there was that adminstration can only provide infrastructure, they
may depute some staff, but any such institution requires support of the
public too. It appeared there as if there were a competition among the
inmates and their relatives as to who can creat more dirtyness. I had seen
many attendants washing hands just below the patient's bed spitting
everywhere in the room, even when there was a toilet provided there. So
unless we change our mentality, nothing can be changed.

Another area is poer shortage, We must move the government to provide ample
electricity for development to take place. Then the roads, Bihar roads are
better than those in many other states. I have seen and learnt that all
local roads within municipality area are made with concrete. doesn't this
sound great? But the roads are made unscientifically with bad or no
drianage. The people of the locality must be aware not to accept those bad
roads, the contractors shouldnot be paid unless the people of the area are
satisfied.

One more area is lack of manpower. At a time when Whole world is filled with
cheaper Bihari Manpower how can there be a lack in bihar itself?? But this
is the fact. People feel shame to work in their own villages but are forced
to do works that are not suitable for their status elsewhere. So there need
be develop the mentality of us Bihari People So that we can feel proud when
called BIHARI.
