Madison Bike folks: We got a request today for a speaker at St John's Lutheran Church for May 19 - "Bike To Worship." They are at 322 E Washington Ave - right off the Square. Time would be at around 9:30 am and last about 30-40 minutes
Anyone want to talk to kids age 6-15? The church nurse is interested in someone talking about a quick pre-ride safety check and parts of the bike. No great detail of mechanics needed. She just wants the kids to have some "hands-on" presentation. I have a simple pre-ride safety check that I can give you as an outline. Take your commuter bike and let the kids inflate the tires, put oil on the chain, test the brakes, check the quick releases, etc. If you are available and willing, please contact the church nurse directly. She would very much like to know by May 9 so she can announce it in the church bulletin the previous week.
