Unfortunately, because the cheapest approach is to let land owners and recreational hunters do the shooting, it looks like we're going to be put at risk. My personal preference would be for professionals to do the job. Since the extremely large deer population has been maintained for the benefit of hunters and businesses that profit by them, it is they who should pay the cost.
