The Wisconsin State Journal Saturday reported that in January to May,
2002, there were 273 fatalities on Wisconsin's roads:  180 drivers; 66
passengers; 19 pedestrians and 8 motorcyclists.  The article did not
report the number of bicycle fatalities, but the average from 1996 to
2000, according to the DOT's web site, is 11 bicyclists killed in 1,757
bicyclist annual crashes (reported).
