The Car-Free day meeting last night was really productive and I think we've
outlined some feasible plans for a few, very cool things.

To summarize, we are going to man the Bike Coalition table at the Farmers
Market on Sat. Sept. 21st and have One Less Car stickers for sale, some
patches yet to be silk screened, a pamphlet on going car free, and an art
bike or two to attract some attention. (We'll be needing volunteers to man
this table if you or anyone you know can help----even if it is just for an
hour after you do your shopping at the market!).

We are making a pamphlet about going car free, modeled on one I picked up
in Seattle with bike route info, bus info, tips about how to ride to work
without getting all sweaty, etc. We're going to see if we can get Lakeside
press to run them off (or do you know anyone that has any printing/copyshop
connections?). It will likely be 1-2 pages, both sides.

and lastly, we are going to make some t-shirts and patches with the Car
Free Day logo of a bike over a car, and a few catchy phrases we came up
with like "No War for These Wheels" and "Your Gas Stinks." (If you have
any connections with art stores or extra t-shirts, let me know) You can
check at the Car Free Day/Bike Coalition table at the Farmer's Market about
getting a T-shirt.

Get in touch if you're interested in helping out!
