Construction work will begin soon on the Botany Garden Renovation and Expansion between Lathrop Hall and Chamberlin Hall... Impacts will be: All construction traffic will occur on Lathrop Drive, which will remain open during the duration of the project. The contractors will not use University Avenue for any access. Construction staging will be tight and your cooperation is appreciated in delays that might occur using Lathrop Drive. Pedestrian Traffic: The north-south central walkway from University Avenue to Lathrop Drive will be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be rerouted to the west along the east side of Chamberlin Hall which is also under renovation. Construction fencing will remain as it is today to protect pedestrian traffic in the area. Bike & Vehicle Traffic: Access along Lathrop Drive will compromised off and on throughout the project. Bicyclists and vehicles traveling along Lathrop Drive in the area of the project should expect minor delays.
