I don't think there's any way to go directly from Syracuse to Newark, but
Amtrak can take you to Penn Station in NYC, and PATH (a subway system that
runs under the Hudson River) runs trains from 33rd st (a block away from
Penn Station) to Newark.  If you have your bike with you, you can take it
into a PATH car, except during weekday rush hours.  See
