This Saturday, Sept 20th, Mayor Dave Cieslewicz will be leading his first Fit City Madison Mayor?s event: a bike ride around Lake Monona. Participation is open to anyone who wants to join in for part or all of the ride. It?s a chance to join the mayor in getting a little exercise and having fun. WHERE: Meet in front of the Madison Municipal Building on your bike WHEN: 10 am, SATURDAY Sept. 20th ROUTE: We will be biking counter-clockwise around Lake Monona ? i.e. down John Nolen Dr. and Waunona Way through Monona - then on to the Isthmus Bike Path. We?ll end the ride biking into the Capitol Square and stopping by the Food for Thought Festival. BREAK: For those who want to do a partial ride, we?ll gather at Cafe Zoma at 11 am for a short tour of the Atwood Community Gardens. Riders can join up or depart at that point. PLEASE NOTE: Helmets are required.
