Seems to me a HUGE fine (like $2,000) for hitting a pedestrian/bicyclist/stroller/mobility- assistance device within a designated cross walk would be the only thing that might get attention.
Not to burst a bubble on eventual peace love and understanding, but an article in today's Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel pointed to the fact that most people who have had license revocations CONTINUE to drive. http://www.jsonline.com/news/metro/oct03/178426.asp Hello? Like, My GAWD, they'll take away my license just because I didn't pay my fines? Where's my First Amendment rights? Totally gross! Coddling these folks who drive after revocation by referring to them as "otherwise law-abiding citizens" --oh don't get me started. Groan...............
