I haven't seen any reports on TV or newspapers. The accident occurred prior to 5:45 pm when I happened upon the scene. It a route I take near daily (Bailey Road and Hwt T east of Thorsan). Weather conditions were perfect,there is amble space for both vehicles and bicycles, and, their was plenty of sunlight.
The ambulance left the scene in a hurry and the van was towed from the scene. My general feeling is people have become too tolerant of poor driving habits; speeding, talking on cell phones while driving, lighting cigarettes and whatever, dinking beverages, while the drivers sometimes has no hands on the wheel. Too many of us have had the experience of facing a vehicle crossing over the center line and forcing us off the road. Based on where the glass on the road was from yesterday's accident I'm assuming that is what caused the accident. David D.
