Dear Owner,

I submitted the following about our race which we have held for nearly
twenty years. We feel that this race fulfills a role for those cyclists
of any age who still want to be competetive--if, as in a "time-trial",
the competition is with one's self.

Dear Bikies,

For many years we, in Ripon, have put on an annual time-trial bicycle
race open to everybody and every type of bicycle. It is ten miles in
the countryside. We have spotters at the corners and charge no money.
We require no pre-registration. Therefore, everything is free. It gets
underway after 8:00 in the Ripon Barlow Park at the South end of Ripon
on the grounds with the City festival--RiponFest. This year our Sunday
date falls on July 10. The race honors a Ripon Bicycle Champion of the
"first bicycle craze" in the 1890s, Louis Reed. Therefore, the race has
always been called, the "Louis Reed 10-mile Ripon Time-Trial." For
information, call, Eric Westhagen 920-346-8228 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
