Baldwin Planning 2-Day Bike Tour of Towns in 2nd CD
Kick-Off to Highlight New Federal Funds for Area Bike Trails
Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin will kick off a two-day bicycle tour of communities in the 2nd CD on Wednesday, August 10 at 10 AM in Cottage Grove at the entrance to the Glacial Drumlin Bike Trail. Baldwin, who recently secured $7.8 million in the Transportation Reauthorization bill to improve area bike trails, elected to use time in her August district work period to travel by bicycle to visit small towns in the district.
Its important to me to visit with the people I represent in their own communities, said Baldwin. During this hot, Wisconsin summer, I cant think of a better way to get out and meet folks than by bike on some of our terrific trails, she said.
