Another point of interest concerning car-deer collisions - if the deer hits the vehicle (as opposed to the vehicle hitting the deer), some insurance companies (eg. American Family Ins.) will not charge the person who carries the policy the deductible if a claim is filed. I guess they must figure it's the deers fault for not being able to stop in time or for not looking both ways first.
