Greetings, The City of Madison is releasing its Public Hearing Draft Comprehensive Plan for review and comment by the public, neighboring municipalities, City of Madison boards and commissions, and other groups, organizations, and individuals. The Comprehensive Plan will be one of the primary tools used by the Plan Commission, the Common Council, and the City administration to make decisions regarding community development. A Public Hearing for final review and comment on the Public Hearing Draft is tentatively scheduled for a Common Council meeting on December 13th in Room 260 of the City-Council building (210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.). The Public Hearing Draft was drafted and distributed after extensive review and comment on a preliminary draft which was released at public meetings held around the City in may and June 2005. Nearly 250 people attended these meetings. The Public Hearing Draft Comprehensive Plan is on the website: www.madisonplan.org. Also see the website for details on obtaining a copy of the Draft Plan.
