Madison Area Bus Advocates General Meeting

Members of the Madison area public are cordially invited to attend MABAs first General Meeting, which will be held on Monday, March 6 at 7:00 PM at the Madison Central Public Library. This is a good opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an organization that has been badly needed for a long time in Madison.
The Madison Area Bus Advocates (MABA) are a diverse group of bus users and friends with a mission to engage in research, education, partnership, and advocacy having the goals of increasing bus rider-ship, expanding bus service, and improving the bus system as an efficient, clean, convenient, and affordable means of travel in the greater Madison area.
MABA intends to contribute to informed debate on issues such as fares and funding, governance, a regional transit authority, transit-friendly urban planning, commuting, levels of service, household costs and benefits, community costs and benefits, services for youth, services for seniors, services for people with special needs, different types of fuel, traffic calming and buses and safety on buses.
