Arrested person/suspect UPDATE - 12:25 P.M. 10/8/06
Madison Police are looking for two possible suspect vehicles. One vehicle is described as a white Jeep Grand Cherokee type vehicle. This vehicle may have some type of bush guard on the front of the vehicle. The second vehicle is described as a black or dark blue 4-door vehicle. Both these vehicles were seen on Green Ave. at the time of the accident. It is quite possible that one or both has front end damage or undercarriage damage. Anyone with information about this case should contact Crime Stoppers at 266-6014 or Hit & Run Investigator at 266-4060.
Victim/Injuries Female bike rider with severe head and internal injuries. Status unknown at this time, currently at a local hospital receiving treatment. UPDATE--At this time it appears the injuries are not critical. The 38 year old female victims remains in the hospital. She is a resident of Madison. Updated by Lt. Pat Malloy.
Details Officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Green Ave. near Knutson Dr. reference a female bicyclist who had been struck by a vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene without stopping or rendering aid. The victim was transported to a local hospital with severe head and internal injuries. Her current status is unknown at this time. If anyone has any information relating to this accident and the vehicle involved please call Crime Stoppers (where you can remain anonymous) at 266-6014. The investigation continues.
