Peter, and all bike reporters -
Just wanted to chime in with a bike THANK YOU for the Bike Traffic
Report on WORT. Peter did indeed report on the slippery path behind East
High and several other bad spots on the report this morning. I'm sure
he's appreciate reports from around town. He seems to travel the east
side more than the west side, so maybe reports of that plowing problem
on the SW Path would be appropriate.
The Bike Traffic Report is a very popular segment on the 8 O'clock Buzz
on Friday morning. It really does raise awareness that bicyclists are
out there in all weather, at all hours, getting around town like
everyone else. I also love to hear, "traffic is flowing smoothly on the
East Isthmus Path."
I'd love to hear an afternoon report during peak hour. That is often the
time when the paths are so crowded in good weather that we really do
have to slow down or take another route. I can't complain, because it's
great that so many people are walking, running, strolling, biking,
commuting, shopping, or otherwise enjoying the paths. But sometimes I
really do stay off of them because of "congestion."
By the way, WORT is having their spring pledge drive. I'm sure they
would appreciate a pledge. And make sure to mention the Bike Traffic Report!

has any "traffic conditions" or anything to report like this, feel
free to send me an email. I only ride on so much of the bike paths and
lanes around town in a given week, so my knowledge is inherently
