Dear Group, I notice a mention of a listing of "Green Cars" on the last message to this group. Just think the improvement there would be if the "police high speed chase" were banned! As lively a Nascar thrill as that is to our Nationwide police force, the civilians have debated that topic for as long as I can remember. If the police were relegated to the operation of conducting "prowl cars", five hundred horsepower "police specials" would not be gassing the highways nor would everyone within a thousand feet of the roadways be in mortal danger. Then they could drive HIGHBRIDS! And maybe people would not be as compelled to purchase large SUVs and trucks for their own survival. But dream on--when I lived in DC in the sixties that topic was debated there every time the police caused deaths from either the "fox or the hound."
