Subject: Ice Age Junction Bicycle Pedestrian Press Conference

Hello,
As most of you already know, Dane County received Transportation Enhancement dollars from WDOT to construct a bicycle pedestrian trail from the former Hill property on CTH PD, south to Badger Prairie County Park. This trail will eventually provide many area residents with an off road bicycle pedestrian connection to the Military Ridge State Trail and beyond.

You are all invited to a press conference by Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk this coming Wednesday, May 9th, at 10:00 am to announce this trail project and also this years recipients of Dane County bicycle grant dollars administered through the Highway Department.

The press conference will be held at the Ice Age Trail overlook on the north side of CTH PD. Directions to the overlook are as follows:

Take Verona Road south of Madison, turn right on County Trunk Highway PD/McKee Road. (Or, take County Trunk Highway M south of Madison, and turn left on CTH PD/McKee Road. Go to the stoplight intersection of High Point Road and CTH PD, travel north on High Point. From High Point, turn left (west) on Stratton, and then turn left (south) on Snowcap. As you travel up the hill, you will see a public outlot/trail on the right side that leads to the overlook. There is an asphalt pad adjacent to the overlook where we will gather.

Hope to see you there.
