sorry, all. lack of sleep makes my communications less clear than they ought to be, or (I hope) used to be. To clarify my last post... ---------- To Dar: thanks for relaying to bikies the correct, *existing* BFW policy on ballots. ----------- To Everyone (*else*) on the bikies list: if you want to be involved in directing BFW, now is the time to act. ------------------- I had no intention of suggesting to Dar (or anyone else) that Dar should try to join the BFW Board. Given the process (or, actually, lack thereof) the Board used to end their relationship with Dar, I wouldn't expect (and certainly would not ask) Dar to work with those folks who made those decisions. Besides, Dar has done quite a lot to help BFW *since* she was terminated (and, indeed, as her post laying out the existing policy proves, continues to do so).But now it is time for other folks who care about bicycle advocacy in Wisconsin, or at least about BFW's role in it, to step up to the plate and start swinging.

I erroneously assumed that the policy as outlined in the materials provided earlier this year to prospective board candidates was a new policy, probably because it seemed to take much longer to provide the information to prospective candidates than it might have if all that had to be done was relay information about existing policies. I suppose my ignorance on that issue (and others) was was part of the price paid for a transition that was not as smooth as perhaps it could have been. If you want to play a part in steering the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin to where it's going from here, now is the time to act.
