There is also some fatality info going back to 1998 on the BFW website at:
http://www.bfw.org/projects/ghostbikes.php

And somewhere in the BFW vaults is a document that sought to track all of the
data that Steve was talking about for as far back as possible...from newspaper
reports and fatality reports and responses to letters sent to law enforcement.

For about 4 years BFW was sending a letter to law enforcement (the idea of BFW
member Mike Barrett) asking for details on the crash, whether a crash
reconstruction had been done, if there were any site specific problems that
needed addressing, and letting the police department know about the DOT's
police training program). The law enforcement agencies usually responded with
as much info as they could, though sometimes the crash was still under
investigation.

I do not know if BFW still send those letters to law enforcement or not.
