Maybe this is old news, but thought I'd mention that, according to the Daily
Cardinal today, UW professor Jonathan Patz was lead author of the North
American chapter of the 2007 IPCC report. The IPCC (United Nations'
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) was recently awarded, along with Al
Gore, the Nobel Peace Prize.
Jonathan has been very active with the Platinum Bicycling Committee. Nice to
have that caliper of people working at UW and sitting in on the Platinum
Committee meetings.
