Funny thing is, the bylaws allow photocopies of the original as well as the original. Yet there is apparently no means to determine, once the ballot is mailed, who actually is sending it - other than perhaps the post mark on the envelope. If you forget to include a return-address on your envelope (the provided envelope uses the BFW stationary pre-printed return address) how does the BFW ballot counting committee know that the ballot is from a paid member? This situation seems ripe for ballot box stuffing shenanigans.
We're mailing our single ballot today, I hope in time. (Although there are two of us on a single-household membership, it is really a "single" membership and we get only one vote. Clarified through an exchange with Jack Hirt.) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of e.hay Sent: Monday, October 29, 2007 8:40 AM To: Milwaukee Bikes; [email protected] Subject: [Bikies] bfw election ballot- states the ballot is due 'no later than 5pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2007' according to the 2007 calandar on my wall here. . . wednesday is october 31st thursday is november 1st friday is november 2nd would an employee or executive board member provide clarity as to when the deadline for completed ballot submission is due?. best regards all- ed. _______________________________________________ Bikies mailing list [email protected] http://www.danenet.org/mailman/listinfo/bikies
