Task Force on Global Warming Work Groups Continue to
Share Progress and Discuss Possible Recommendations

MADISON - On Friday, November 2nd members of Governor Jim Doyle's Task
Force on Global
Warming will meet in Sun Prairie to continue their efforts to address
global warming. The Task Force,
comprised of a variety of environmental, industry and utility leaders as
well as representatives from the
DNR and PSC and other stakeholders, has undertaken Governor Doyle's
mission to examine the
effects of and solutions to global warming in Wisconsin. The November
2nd meeting is a continuation
of a series of meetings the Task Force is hosting and the public and
media are encouraged to attend.
The meeting will include presentations from Task Force work groups on
their progress and possible
policy recommendations. Two guests will also give presentations at the
meeting. Robert F. Babik,
Director of Vehicle Emissions Issues at General Motors, and Tom
Cackette, Executive Director of the
California Air Resources Board, will provide their perspectives on
Global Warming and how the
transportation industry fits into these efforts. Please join the Task
