Bikies,

A lot has been going on with the BFW this week, and not all of it has
been a confidence builder, at least from my perspective. I would like
to invite you all to Cafe Zoma this Saturday, November 3rd at 3:00pm for
a special meeting of the Bicycle Transportation Alliance of Dane County
(BTA). At the meeting I would like to discuss what we can do to help
the BFW regain our confidence.

Cafe Zoma
2326 Atwood Ave, Madison, WI
(608) 246-2009

[ Cafe Zoma is just off the Cap City Trail between Ohio and Evergreen
ave. ]

Tentative Agenda:

1) Finalize agenda.
2) Update on latest BFW news.
3) Create a list of the most pressing concerns we have with the BFW.
4) Come up with a list of short-term action items aimed at addressing
our concerns with the BFW.
5) Assign those action items to interested parties.
6) Schedule the next meeting and discuss potential agenda items.
7) Adjourn and buy lots and lot of smoothies so Ann can buy a new bike.

I have been corresponding with David Vogt and he has apparently received
a large number of harsh e-mails in response to his comments this
weekend. This is good in some ways and not so good in other ways. It
is good because it demonstrates that we have a lot of passionate
bicyclists out there who want to improve the BFW. However, I think our
energies could be directed a lot more effectively right now. So, if you
are as passionate as I am about this and feel compelled to take action,
I strongly urge you to attend this meeting. There is reason to believe
we can help turn this situation with the BFW around.
