Dear Group,

Possibly we are polarized when it come to SOCIALISM. It would seem that
way in our discourses in "bikies." But aren't we at the extreme poles
thinking that maybe we SPEAK FOR THAT ELUSIVE SILENT MAJORITY?

But, these days just who IS that SILENT MAJORITY? Reagan claimed to be
speaking for them to reverse the trends in US politics from 1932 and FDR
through LB Johnson. Some on the LEFT tried to define direction with
Ralph Nader and on the RIGHT the vote was siphoned off to that Texan.
In reality, the DNA of American politics is nearly identical with both
parties. Like with humans, where it is claimed that all the variability
is represented by the last fractional percent of our genes, both parties
appease and succor the same voting groups.

We at the poles talk a good line, but the reality of politics follows
the negative autocratic and aristocratic forces endemic to the system,
regardless of our efforts.

For whatever reasons sociologists might suggest, the LEFT has controlled
THE WRITTEN WORD through education. This was pointed out by economist,
Joseph Schumpeter (1883-1950). He bemoaned the demise of capitalism and
attributed that inevitability to a variety of causes. He updated a
number of the causes enumerated earlier by Marx. During my economic
training, I felt Schumpeter was the supreme observer and analyst--and he
was. But hopefully and thankfully for my views, his predictions have
taken various detours. In some cases his described version of "the road
to serfdom" has been met with no more than occasional "reactions" or
death throws toward STATE socialism. And we have steadily moved from an
entrepreneurial capitalism to a form of STATE capitalism, beginning in
1928. And this shift can be seen in our WORLD policy. If the "peak
oil" thesis as expressed in "bikies" is correct, it is our STATE--the
Bush Cheney Mid-East policy which is the determinate. And the new
target of the STATE cabal is Kurdistan(Iraq), Iran, Turkey, and
Syria--all for destabilization and a foothold in the oil, separate from
OPEC dependence? When the Brits re-arranged the Middle East after WWI,
they were open about the "oil prize." Today, we wonder why the
destruction of Iraq was not envisioned with our attacks. But if
Kurdistan is the prize--wasn't the Iraq civil destruction the modus
operandi? The "fun and games" of the STATE are "yet to come" as Turkey
IS NOT ONBOARD.-----I digress---sorry!

My point is that we do not have small competing and efficient interests,
but STATE committees determining American life. And as usual, where IS
the SILENT MAJORITY? As in the past----they are too busy with daily
life to be writing in "bikies?"

Eric
