I have been thinking along the lines of a major re-vamp of how the BTA and BCP sites facilitate communication and Michael's suggestion is a great addition to my ideas. I have been spending my lunch hours this week preparing a spec/proposal for a new site design, and I will add this to my proposal. I have also been thinking about providing RSS feeds for news items relevant to Madison Bicycling (local news, city committee agendas, and relevant articles from www.thewheelerreport.com, BFW.org, madvelocity, etc.), ressurecting BTA's "Spoke-n-Word" as a blog (with it's own RSS feed), providing a calendar of bicycling related events (political and recreational), and providing a community maintained "bike detours" map to notify bikies of construction or dangerous situations via e-mail.
If anyone has any additional ideas, or would like to help me plan this exciting improvement, please let me know. -- Mitchell Nussbaum Wrote: This might be a good time to ask if bikies has outgrown the software that currently supports it. Perhaps discussions would be easier to follow (or ignore, if that's what you want) if we had a discussion board that supports threading. A discussion board might be easier to administer, too. _______________________________________________ Bikies mailing list [email protected] http://www.danenet.org/mailman/listinfo/bikies
