A lot of the local streets (the ones that make the best neighborhood cut-thru routes) are still very icy. But I agree that streets like Winnebago and Willy street are in pretty good shape (one lane is ice free, the other has some degree of ice).
Handling this storm was a tough call for city staff I am sure. Interestingly, I happened to shovel my sidewalk at about 8:30pm on Saturday, wondering if I'd wake up to a sheet of ice, and the next day I was pleasantly surprised that the pavement was DRY. Had the City plowed the bike paths at 8:30pm, I'd bet they would be dry too. However, city policy (on weekdays at least) is to plow the paths at 5am.
