I tried getting to work last night via the bike path
on the south side of Atwood Ave/Monona Drive. After
the first 20 yards of this stretch of path (heading
east) the drifts are so bad, covering the entire width
of the path with anywhere from four to twelve inches
of snow. In short, it's un-ridable.
It may have been sometime since snow has fallen here
in Madison but what snow already rests on the ground
is still prone to drift. Is the city supposed to
perform maintenance in these instances?
