In addition to the first, and therefore most prominent "Wish for 2008" in
last week's Isthmus, our friend Mike Barrett got a very good letter printed

And let me remind others in this list that these letters to the editor, and
other mechanisms for speaking out - contacting your alder, county
supervisor, the Mayor, Co Exec, other elected officials; coming to speak at
public hearings; blogging; volunteering to be interviewed on the radio, and
many other ways to "get the message out" - really do make a difference.
Those who would build an environment unfriendly to biking certainly have no
compunction about making their message heard. We need to step up, or pedal
up, and speak out as well.

On that note, I'll have an action alert coming out soon, but for the moment,
please save the date of Jan 24 to speak or register on the new Capital Area
Regional Plan Commission draft goals and objectives, and the policies and
