My intention in bringing this to bikies is to give everyone an idea of what the opposition is going to be saying when this gets to the council for a vote. Notable points: Bicycles are not equal to cars. Cars are key to economic growth. Money needed for new roads, would be wasted on bicycles. Even if Madison was a bicycling utopia, the vast majority of people will still need to drive. No need to convert wide streets (which Vicki loves) into narrower streets with bike lanes. The Platinum report pits bicyclists against cars. "we've got [problems] ... all these ninnies inside the city of Madison can think of is making Madison more bikie fiendly?"
